The Chicago Bar Bracket, an NCAA style bracket with 4 divisions of 17 bars each, was conceived in August of 2014, created in September and chugging along slowly but peacefully for about a month.

Then BOOM! Bud Light drops a bombshell. Bud Light’s teaming up with ESPN to do their own Bar Bracket in Chicago? We’ll at least I can be a hipster amongst the Bar Brackets and say I was doing it before it was cool.

Not gonna lie guys, I felt a little overwhelmed given Bud Light’s massive marketing budget & the free trip to this year’s College Football Championship Game – whatever it’s called now that it’s also a small bracket. But then I realized I could put together my own prize package to reward my faithful and numerous followers!
